On the left bank of the river Neris in Vilnius a new building - HELIOS CITY- is being constructed.

A luxurious complex HELIOS CITY will rise in Vilnius.
Vilnius: April, 2005. In Naujamiestis district, Vilnius, on the intersection of Savanorių avenue and S.Konarskio street, a modern, prestigious commercial, administrative and apartment centre HELIOS CITY is being constructed. This huge real estate investment project in the capital is being implemented by UAB “VIA SPORTAS”, which invests 70 million LTL in the HELIOS CITY.
HELIOS CITY, which will consist of the two floor commercial building and the 23 floor administrative-dwelling skyscraper, will be the highest building in the capital on the left riverbank of Neris.
HELIOS CITY is constructed in one of the most perspective districts in Vilnius – Naujamiestis. “Naujamiestis, which covers a part of the territory of the capital centre, is a very strategic place. In the Vilnius city development plan quite a lot of space is intended for the development and modernisation questions of this part of the city. In the Naujamiestis renovation process HELIOS CITY is definitely a solid project”, claims UAB “VIA SPORTAS” manager Valentina Ulickienė.
“In the HELIOS CITY one will be able to satisfy the needs of dwelling environment, leisure time, active rest and various services all combined in one complex,” says V. Ulickienė. On the ground and the first floors of the HELIOS CITY, in the 7 000 m² shopping arcade restaurant, cafés, bank branch, shops, beauty salons, photo laboratory, dry cleaning and other services will take place. “The shopping centre is intended for the client, who is looking for quality and style; and the services supplied here will assure the comfort of the HELIOS CITY visitors and apartment dwellers,” maintains V. Ulickienė. The floors from 3 to 6, total area being 1200 m², are projected for the offices, and the floors from 7 to 23 are designed for the roomy apartments. The total area of the upper building will make 8900 m². According to V. Ulickienė, despite the fact that the HELIOS CITY is just in the process of construction, the most of commercial, administrative and dwelling premises are rented or sold already.
The complex of the contemporary architecture HELIOS CITY is the project of UAB “Architektūros paletė”. “The skyscraper HELIOS CITY is a visual and symbolic boundary between the old, historical Vilnius and the new city, which was started to be built in the XXth century,” says the director of the group of architects, who projected the HELIOS CITY, Leonidas Merkinas. According to him, while planning HELIOS CITY, the architects avoided sharp angles and aspired to create light, elegant silhouette of the building, disgorging into the panorama of Vilnius in chime. “The imposing façade of the HELIOS CITY will look especially effectively at night – decorative multicoloured illumination will highlight the transparency and grace of the skyscraper,” claims L. Merkinas. The construction works are being accomplished by UAB “Masyvas”.

About the HELIOS CITY
The modern HELIOS CITY is intended for the contemporary man, who values quality, prestige and intensive way of living. The main façade of the HELIOS CITY is oriented towards the Old Town – through the continuous exterior glass wall of the HELIOS CITY and the spacious, over 3 meters high apartment windows, the panorama at an angle of 270º of the Vilnius Old Town, the river Neris, Naujamiestis, park „Vingis“, Žvėrynas, Lazdynai will open. The park square near the HELIOS CITY complex will be renovated.
HELIOS CITY is an ideal location in consideration of quick communication – only in 3 minutes by car you will reach the city center and the Old Town, in 10 minutes – the airport, in 5 minutes – the railway and bus stations. Near the HELIOS CITY entertainment, service and food supply companies, banks, shopping center “Hyper Rimi”, cinema “Forum Cinemas Coca-Cola Plaza” and the recreational zone “Vingis” park are located.
